Our new apartment will be 1.9 miles (as the google drives) away from the Toppens. I estimate it to be about 793 meters away (as the waterballoon flies). They graciously invited me over for dinner last night, and I got to see their two cute kids as well. I just wish I knew the area better to have been able to bring flowers or something, like a good guest.

We went to a great conference in Newport, RI the last weekend in February. It was fun to meet up with Herman and Traci at the Family Life conference. Afterward we went to CT for the showing of the Banff Mountain Film Festival. Fabio and Debbie were able to meet us in New London for dinner and the show. Great fun to catch up with friends. Highlight of the night was Greg winning a free pair of Dunham boots.
